SPRING – 2011 (Series Part I) The Renewed Beginning
Spring marks a new beginning. The nature rejuvenates during this
season. This rejuvenation gets reflected in the upward movements of
the plant, the blossoming of flowers. During this season the sun rises early and there is youthfulness all
around. One feels healthy and energetic. Ayurveda recommends a
particular routine for every season (ritucharya) as well as daily
routine for all seasons (dinacharya).
To get fully rejuvenated during this season one should go for
cleansing of the body to get rid of the toxics and other harmful
elements, which were accumulated during the previous season.
Ayurevda recommends that spring is an ideal time to rejuvenate one's
body so one should take the maximum advantage of this opportunity.
There is relatively faster flow of fluids within the body that helps
in flushing out the toxins.
Spring is considered to be the king of seasons also as one can have
the best of the food with lot of fresh vegetables and fruits
available. Nature is at its best during this season in terms of
rejuvenating the mind and the spirit also.
One is able to live a relatively more active life due to the gifts
from the bountiful nature during this king of seasons. A large number
of institutes now run special "Spring Cleansing" programs. They are
quite popular especially among those who suffer from stressful lives
and feel quite relieved after getting rid of toxins from their bodies.
Those who enjoy this experience once wait eagerly for the spring
season so that they can feel fresh and energetic again. However, it is
not necessary to join a particular program by experts to enjoy the
king of seasons.
One can cleanse the body at home also by taking some normal
precautions a about food and exercise and really enjoy the season of
spring.
