The soaking of black gingerly seeds overnight in water is effective in preventing joint pains. This water has to be drunk, with the seeds, first thing in the morning too. Besides these methods, drinking water kept in a copper container serves the same purpose. Sometimes, in severe cases, making the patient follow a raw vegetable juice therapy for a week proves to be rather beneficial in providing relief from arthritis.
Even yoga proves to be rather effective in relieving arthritic pain. This is because there are some asanas in yoga that help strengthen the quadriceps and place emphasis on stretching. Of course, those with arthritis should start on these asanas slowly, after a warm up. This provides less pain, more movement, reduced fatigue and better health to a person suffering from arthritis. It is always better to practice yoga under the guidance of an instructor.
