Now Ayurveda Sails
in Houseboats!

In as far as Ayurveda is concerned, Kerala, the southernmost state of India, is up for yet another grab? Ayurveda in houseboats! Another innovation to attract tourists to Kerala was floated recently as a mobile Ayurveda clinic on a houseboat set sail on the backwaters here.

The boat from the Alapuzha-based Pulickattil Tourism Group is equipped with all the facilities for Ayurveda treatment, as famous as Kerala's beaches and its backwaters with tourists.

Booked on the maiden voyage in the 85 ft long, 15 ft wide houseboat are four European tourists.

The services include treatment, basically two sets of facial massages and a body massage, using oil and Ayurvedic powders. We also offer packages for tourists travelling on other houseboats too," says Tomy Pulickattil of the company..
