Prof
Sharma is the guiding principle behind us
and we are really honored by his rich association, which is backed
by 30 years of academic, clinical and research experience. He has held a
number of posts in the country’s premier National Institute of Ayurveda
in Jaipur for as many as 24 years. Be it the matchless representation of
Ayurveda to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students of
Ayurveda; scientific evaluation of various Ayurvedic plants and concepts
on a host of diseases, or use of intrinsic Ayurvedic therapies for
treatment of patients who throng his practice from far and wide -- he
has absorbed it all like an encyclopedia. Prof Sharma is an illustrious
Ayurvedic scholar and a catchword on Ayurvedic medicine. He thinks that
true Ayurveda is one that is selfless, perfects cure, and offers a touch
of humanity.
At
30 years of age Dr Jangid could not have expected more. He is an
Ayurvedist-turned-administrative officer. Currently he holds the
prestigious position of a Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in the
Government of Rajasthan. A two-time gold medalist, recipient of the
Chief Minister’s Shield for Academic Brilliance and a young man having
three dozen citations and trophies up his sleeve, Dr Jangid still
manages to run his own Shubham Center of Pure Ayurveda, which is also
AugustAyurveda.com affiliate center and authentic Ayurvedic
pharmaceutical source. Dr Jangid is as much at ease with the Basic
Principles of Ayurveda as is he issuing orders as an SDM.
Dr
Dave is an eloquent speaker of Ayurveda, acumen that he has honed
through his frequent speeches delivered on All India Radio, which is the
country’s national radio channel. He has attended a number of national
and international seminars and conferences. On the clinical and academic
front he has been a professor of Ayurvedic ENT and surgery and has
headed the same department at some of well-known Ayurvedic colleges in
India. He retired recently from a seven-year stint as an assistant
director at the Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha. At

aspects of Ayurveda which will be available for free user access on this
site. 
Dr
Savitaben is a doctorate in Ayurveda. Except the initial stint of
working as a professor and head of the department of Stree Roga (Ayurvedic
Gynecology) at Government Ayurved College at Bhavnagar and Ahemadabad,
India, she has spent rest of her life at several of Ministry of Health
and Family Welfare research organizations. She has seen the progression
through which Ayurveda has passed nationally and internationally in her
initial capacity as a research officer and then assistant director at
Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha at Mumbai, Jaipur
and New Delhi. Dr Savitaben is a gold medalist and has to her credit a
number of research papers published and presented in national and
international journals and seminars. At AugustAyurveda.com she is

on this site from May 2004 onwards.
Dr
Jaiswal is a doctorate in Dravyaguna – Ayurvedic pharmacology and
teaches the subject to the postgraduate students of Ayurveda. What makes
him unique as a teacher is the Dravyaguna Superspecialization, which he
earned from National Academy of Ayurveda under the guidance of the
illustrious author, teacher and physician Prof Priya Vrat Sharma. Dr
Jaiswal ensures the accuracy of the pharmacological information, inputs,
products we provide people who send us their consultations, Practical
Ayurveda courses, and quality of person-specific, customized Ayurvedic
packages that are sent out from here. The Buy Herbs section on this
site, which will have single and compound products on sale, is directly
supervised by Dr Jaiswal.
Dr
Pranav belongs to the new generation of Ayurvedic scholars and has to
his credit a relatively unknown qualification of Ayurvedic dentistry
from Gujarat Ayurved University. His main specialty, however, is
panchakarma. He did his postgraduation from the prestigious University
of Mumbai. Proficient in more than six languages, including Sanskrit,
the young gold medalist is the recipient of such notable awards as
Dhandh Puraskar and Vaidya Shri Ramshiromani Dwivedi Kaya Cikitsa
Puraskar. Dr Pranav was part of a research project on Bronchial Asthma
conducted jointly by P.D.Hinduja International Indic Research Centre &
Hospital and K.G.M.P. Ayurved College, Mumbai. He has been practicing
panchakarma full-time since June 2000 at our affiliate panchakarma
center in Rajasthan, India.
Dr
Kumar is an undergraduate in Ayurveda and believes in integrative
medicine. He did his B.A.M.S. from the University of Mumbai and to add a
dash of modern medicine to his Ayurvedic qualification, he completed 750
hours of apprentice training for a Diploma in Pharmacy from Bangalore,
India. Previously he has worked as a technical expert on Ayurveda in a
popular health portal and Government of India’s ambitious TKDL
(Traditional Knowledge Digital Library) project. Currently he is
strategizing content for our Practical Ayurveda courses to be launched
in May 2004.
Dr
Vrinda is a practicing Ayurvedic physician. She was awarded a silver
medal, and conferred Dr. Rajendra Bhatnagar Memorial Award, for securing
a first in the B.A.M.S finals at the University of Rajasthan. Suave and
soft-spoken, and though a general physician, she has mastered the art of
Ayurvedic gynecology; a credential that has endeared her strongly to
women patients as a Medical Officer with the Department of Health,
Government of Rajasthan. All gynecological cases that we receive on this
site find a way to her Inbox for care.
Dr
Neelam has the distinction of having worked as a house Ayurvedic
physician at K.G.M.P. Ayurved College, Brahman Sabha Hospital, and
Goradia Ayurvedic Center in Mumbai, and N. K. Dubey Charitable Hospital,
Thane. Currently she is a consulting Ayurvedic physician at our
affiliate centers at Vrindavan and Jaipur, India.
